Vision

Vision Statement

This vision statement was established by a panel of scientists, pastors, teachers, and laypeople in June of 2007. Since that time, we have established a Task Force to work on this project. The Task Force has established a Statement of Faith concerning the Creation-Science Environmental Learning Center at Christ Serve Ranch. You can see that statement by clicking here.

The vision of Christ Serve Ranch and the Creation-Science Environmental Learning Center at Lutheran Island Camp is to:

A.          Strengthen the Christian faith of those who come, by proclaiming, confessing, and teaching the Holy Trinity: the Father, Creator; Jesus Christ, the Savior; and the Holy Spirit, the Sustainer (Matthew 28:18-20).

B.           Offer an environmental experience of various biomes that demonstrate God’s handiwork (Job 12:7-10).

C.           Reach pastors, future pastors, DCE, teachers (private and public), future teachers, parents, and learners of all ages in order that they be able to teach creation as foundational for faith (John 1:1ff).

D.          Teach Biblical origins (Genesis 1-11) and the evidence in a manner that is presently not being done – Hands on Science.

E.           Offer tools and resources to teach creation as foundational. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 & 1 Peter 3:15).

F.            Teach science as a means to understand God (Romans 1:20 & Psalm 8) and to be a steward of the gift of God’s creation (Genesis 1:28).

G.          Teach gifted individualism (1 Peter 4:10-11 & Romans 12:4-8) within the body of Christ.

H.          Teach eternal Love and respect of each individual in Christ (Psalm 139:13-16).

I.              Equip all those we serve to become bolder beacons (Matthew 5:16) within their families, congregations, schools, communities, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8).
