Boys Survivor Camp
Grab some friends and head to the ranch to do the things that boys love to do. We’ll build a fort, make a fire or two, cook hot dogs and s’mores, catch some fish, and have some discussions about what it is to be a young man. Campers will be sleeping in tipi tents. Check our website for fact sheet.

Creation Art/Photography Camp
Bring your canvas, sketch pad, camera or other medium to help you capture the beauty of God’s creation through the gift of art that you have been given. We’ll also have materials available along with a professional artist and a photographer who will help participants understand color, perspective, and various art mediums to capture a permanent record of such beauty as flowers, animals, landscapes and more at Christ Serve Ranch.

Young Scientist
“BANG!” “Whoosh!” “Wow!” Science can be exciting at Lutheran Island Camp. Our Young Scientist Program uses science to better understand God’s creation and the universe that surrounds us. Brian Young teaches God’s word while helping participants see how the truth of science supports the facts of creation. Many activities will be done at the Creation-Science Environmental Learning Center at Christ Serve Ranch. Limit of 30 campers.

STEAM Camp
It will be an adventure in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math as campers engage in challenging and creative hands on experiences at Christ Serve Ranch. Campers will participate in Mad Science Labs, Outdoor Exploration, Design Centers, and Art adventures as we take a unique look at the days of creation. Campers should come prepared for activities including horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and more. All equipment will be provided.

Trailblazer/Voyageur Prairie and Woods Camp
Campers will go back to the 19th century and share experiences similar to those from Little House on the Prairie and Little House in the Big Woods. We’ll use a Dutch oven, learn about foods, experience games that were played back then, learn about faith and its importance, see how families earned their living, and experience many of the activities of children from the late 1800’s. Please note that a more detailed description will be provided to campers when they sign up. There is a limit of 24 campers.

Beginner Horse Camp Weekend
This event is for our younger campers who want to be a horseback rider but aren’t yet ready to participate in a weeklong event. Participants will spend time getting to know their horse and learn the basics of horsemanship including grooming, groundwork, respect, and riding. We’ll use some of our smaller and wiser horses. Most of our time will be spent in an arena. Campers may stay at Christ Serve Ranch.

Advanced Beginner Horse Camp 1
This event is for those beginner riders who want more than a weekend but may not be ready to participate in the Tenderfoot Horse Camp. More time will be spent on the basics including grooming and caring for a horse. Much of the riding will be done in our arena, but by the end of the week the camper will be ready to head out on the trail.

Tenderfoot Horse Camp
This is one of the best experiences that you can have at camp! Learn how to ride, groom, and feed a horse. By the end of the week, you’ll be able to saddle your own horse; take it out on a nice trail ride, and perhaps do a few games on horseback. You’ll wish the week would never end!

Wrangler Horse Camp
Those campers with a little more riding experience will want to take advantage of this week! Wrangler Horse camp offers more time in the saddle than the Tenderfoot version, plus you ride on more advanced trails, camp out one night with your horse, and experience what you and a good horse can do with some gaming.

Cowboys Wrangler Horse Camp
This is an all-boys horseback riding camp that will take campers back 100 years. Participants will be camping out two nights and three days during which we will be cooking our meals, trying some shooting and sling shots, doing some roping, and enjoying God’s creation.

Voyageur Weekend at Christ Serve Ranch
It’s a brand new weekend for 12-14 year olds. The fun and excitement will start Friday evening and go right through noon on Sunday, with spiritual and physical respite appropriately present. Campers will be participating in a series of exciting activities, most held at Christ Serve Ranch. Activities will include a horseback ride, outdoor cookout, wagon ride, fishing, all terrain bike riding, and paintball. Swimming and some activities may be at Lutheran Island Camp. Voyageur/Teen Trek Creation Art Camp
Enjoy a week of camp highlighted by using various artistic media to capture nature’s beauty. You’ll use ink, paint, water color, photography and video to portray the wonderful diverse natural setting of Christ Serve Ranch. Professional artists, photographers and videographers will help you learn and grow.

Voyageur ECO Adventure
If your child is looking for a high energy adventure in creation this summer, this camp is for you. Daily activities will combine outdoor and environmental education from a Christian perspective. Campers will hike, ride, bike, paddle, and boat through nature at Christ Serve Ranch. They will discover the ecological diversity of the ranch while orienteering, navigating and exploring the pond, lake, woods, and prairie. They will have an opportunity to try out our new challenge course; help build the new bike course and so much more.

Christ Serve Ranch Servant Events
Be a part of the first groups to visit Christ Serve Ranch. There are all sorts of projects that need to be done. The first Creation-Science Environmental Learning Center in the nation is located at Christ Serve Ranch. Help build trails, observation decks and shelters, develop scientific experiments, remove brush and trees, and build corrals and docks. Participants will have a greater understanding of our Creator God and how we can use Genesis to better grasp the significance of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.

Horse Outreach Program
We are looking for at least one group to help us get our Horse Outreach Program ready for the summer of 2015. Participants will help groom horses, clean-up our tack, build campsites, clear trails, and generally help us get the horses ready. There will be at least an hour or two of riding each day.

Project Impact
God’s word calls us to be stewards of the world He has created for us, but what does that mean? With a focus on Leadership, Stewardship, and Service, teens will consider how to steward God’s creation. Participates will have the opportunity to become involved with the projects of the Environmental Learning Center including habitat restoration, sustainability considerations, and the role of food and water in ecosystems. Come be part of some of the exciting ideas happening at Christ Serve Ranch!

Teen Trek Science Skills Boot Camp
Many teens love science and there is no better place to learn more about science than Christ Serve Ranch where science is everywhere: Astronomy, chemistry, physics, botany, biology, earth sciences, and zoology. Join us for a week of experiments, observations, learning, and an opportunity to learn from God’s word. The program is perfect for the student interested in boosting their success in science classes in high school and beyond. Students will learn to collect and interpret data, to accurately display data in graphs, to write lab reports, and to develop projects of their own. While this boot camp will challenge students, there will be time to enjoy many of the outdoor activities that Lutheran Island Camp and Christ Serve Ranch have to offer. Consider staying on for the dedication of Christ Serve Ranch.

Teen Trek/Young Adult Horse Camp Weekend
For older teens and young adults who love horseback riding but just can’t get away for an entire week, this weekend will be ideal. You will arrive Friday evening and pick out your horse, spend time riding in our arena, and sit around the campfire that evening. The next morning you’ll head back to the Ranch, saddle up and head off for a beautiful ride. You’ll have lunch out on the trail, spend some time in Bible study, then enjoy the camp’s many other facilities. That evening you’ll take another ride after a steak dinner cooked on the open fire. On Sunday, you’ll have one last ride, pack up and join other campers for 10:00 a.m worship.

Mother/Daugher Horseback Weekend
This great weekend starts at the Island Friday evening for devotions and a good night’s sleep in preparation for a full day of riding. You’ll camp out Saturday night, take a moonlight ride. Sunday Morning you’ll ride to worship before returning to the Island. Previous riding experiencerequired. If this weekend doesn’t fit your schedule, we’ll find another one for you.
