Bulletin Blurbs
The following are bulletin blurbs that you can use to inform your congregation about the upcoming dedication of Christ Serve Ranch.
May 17 – Christ Serve Ranch is the science and environmental learning center that Lutheran Island Camp has been developing for 7 years. It will be the first such center where students are taught from a Lutheran, Christian, Biblical worldview. On August 29th Christ Serve Ranch will be dedicated. We hope to have a large group from our congregation attend.
May 24-We all know that our society is changing. Our children are being taught things in school, on TV, and in other media that we find challenging at best. Christ Serve Ranch has programs that help parents and grandparents share the truth about God and the Extraordinary Things He has created in this universe. Find out more about Christ Serve Ranch by visiting their website: www.christserveranch.org.
May 31 – Extraordinary Things will be the theme for Lutheran Island Camp and Christ Serve Ranch this coming summer. It is also the theme for the Dedication of Christ Serve Ranch which will be held on Saturday, August 29th. There will be speakers, exhibits, tours, demonstrations, and lots of activities. All at no charge.
June 7-Even though it is still almost 3 months away, the Dedication of Christ Serve Ranch will be here before you know it. Now is the time to get your family signed up for the day. There is limited lodging available at the Island but there are motels in the area and the food is free on Saturday, August 29th. Visit www.christserveranch.org to sign up for the meals for your family.
June 14 – Lutheran Island Camp needs your help. The Christ Serve Ranch dedication is coming up on August 28-30th, 2015 and they will need over 100 volunteers on the day of the dedication. There is also a need for volunteers right now. Projects need to be completed and the ranch needs to look its best. Go to www.christserveranch.org to sign up to volunteer.
June 21-It is summer! Now is a great time to plan out the next two months of your summertime. You won’t want to miss the dedication of Christ Serve Ranch, just three miles from Lutheran Island Camp. You may also want to participate in the adult choir or help by volunteering. Spread the word. Maybe we can organize a bus from our congregation.
June 28-We know that our children and grandchildren are being inundated with false information about the origins of man, the age of earth and even how we all came to be. The Big Bang Theory is more than a comedy on CBS. It is what is being taught to our children. We are blessed to have in this area a science and environmental learning center like Christ Serve Ranch where science, education, leadership, and the environment are all taught from a Lutheran, Christian, Biblical worldview. Christ Serve Ranch will be dedicated to the glory of God on August 29th.
July 5-Our country was founded by God fearing men who understood the relationship that God has with his people. Today that relationship is not only ignored, it is laughed at in our colleges, public schools, and in the media. Christ Serve Ranch stands as a beacon of truth. There science, education, leadership, and the environment are taught from a Lutheran, Christian, Biblical worldview. We can demonstrate to our children and grandchildren how important God is to our country by supporting Lutheran Island Camp and Christ Serve Ranch.
July 12-Calling all voices! We are putting together an adult choir and a youth choir for the upcoming Christ Serve Ranch dedication. They are gathering together a wonderful group to sing during the service. Go to www.christserveranch.org to find out more. Let’s get our wonderful voices to the Ranch!
July 19-It was a big bang from a small grain of matter that started the Universe. Then on a small planet a mixture of slime, mud, and gunk was struck by some energy force and life began. From that one celled life form came crawling things, swimming thing, flying things, scary things and eventually human things. If your child is being taught this, then no wonder that life is no longer valued; no wonder they don’t understand right and wrong; no wonder there are no rules. God’s creation and His plan is a much better way to go. Try visiting Christ Serve Ranch to learn about creation, God’s gift of science, and His promise of salvation. August 29th might be a great day to visit. He just might show you some Extraordinary Things.
July 26 – Extraordinary Things has been the theme for 2015 at Lutheran Island Camp and Christ Serve Ranch. It is also the theme for the upcoming dedication of Christ Serve Ranch. In today’s bulletin you will receive a handout about the speakers, activities, demonstrations and gifts that will be yours to participate in on Saturday, August 29th.
August 2 – Yesterday was the annual Quilt Auction at Lutheran Island Camp. If you weren’t able to make it, don’t fret. You have another chance to visit Henning. Just 3 miles from the Island is Christ Serve Ranch. It is the only science and environmental learning center in the country that teaches science, education, leadership, and the environment from a Lutheran, Christian, Biblical worldview. On August 29th Extraordinary Things will be revealed to everyone in attendance at the Dedication of Christ Serve Ranch. Visit www.christserveranch.org to sign up for the free meals and to let them know you will be coming.
August 9 – The location is 24307 County Highway 5. You get there the same way you go to Lutheran Island Camp only just keep going another 3 miles. Why do you need to know this? Because we are all heading to Christ Serve Ranch on August 29th to celebrate God’s wonderful gift of creation. It will be a party, a worship service, a wagon ride, a learning experience, and lots of fun for everyone. See you at the Ranch.
August 16 – It is less than two weeks until the dedication of Christ Serve Ranch. They may still need some volunteers. They may still need some choir members. They may still have room for more people to attend. They may still have some Extraordinary Things to share with you about Creation, Salvation, and how we teach them to our children. You might not think it is important to go there that day. But it is. It is important for you children and your grandchildren and their grandchildren. Be a part of the start of something new.
August 23 – Next week we want you to stay away from Christ Serve Ranch if you don’t believe God created the heavens and the earth. We want you to stay away from our science and environmental learning center if you don’t believe that science is the gift of God. We want you to stay away from Christ Serve Ranch if you don’t believe man fell into sin and the only way back is through Jesus Christ. Next Saturday, August 29th we want you to stay away if you are ashamed of the Gospel, if you don’t want to learn how to talk about creation, Noah’s flood, dinosaurs, the age of the earth, and why all this matters. Please don’t stay away! Call or e-mail for free meal tickets.
